Sinopse: O documentário Abaixando a Máquina – Ética e Dor no Fotojornalismo Carioca é um trabalho que aborda algumas questões do fotojornalismo contemporâneo através do ponto de vista da dor no registro de diversos confrontos na cidade do Rio, a ética dos profissionais no registro e sua posterior publicação pela imprensa, incluindo a relação que existe entre os fotógrafos com as comunidades carentes, como são realizadas as coberturas nos conflitos armados e a divulgação da tragédia consumada. Quem são, o que sentem e como atuam esses personagens da imagem no cotidiano desta cidade.
